1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing or using Departist ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

Departist is a mobile application that assists visual artists with art submission processes. The Service:

• Analyzes artwork photos to build an artist profile
• Matches artists with relevant calls for entry
• Auto-fills submission forms using stored profile data
• Provides AI-powered coaching for form fields

3. WHAT DEPARTIST DOES NOT DO

Departist does not:

• Submit applications on your behalf — you always review and submit yourself
• Process payments — all entry fees are paid by you directly to the call organizer
• Guarantee acceptance into any call for entry
• Store your CaFE login credentials — authentication happens through a WebView session on your device

4. YOUR ACCOUNT

You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your artist profile information. Your profile data (name, statement, bio, medium, photos) is stored locally on your device and used to auto-fill submission forms.

5. ARTWORK AND CONTENT

You retain full ownership of all artwork, images, statements, and other content you provide to the Service. By using Departist, you grant us a limited license to:

• Analyze your artwork photos using AI to build your profile
• Store your profile data on your device for auto-fill purposes
• Send your profile data to third-party APIs (such as AI services) for scoring and coaching features

We do not sell, share, or publicly display your artwork or personal information.

6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Departist interacts with third-party platforms including CaFE (callforentry.org) and AI services. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for these platforms. Your use of CaFE is subject to their own terms of service.

7. AI-GENERATED CONTENT

The Service uses AI to generate coaching suggestions, match scores, and form field recommendations. This content is provided as guidance only. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI-generated suggestions before submitting them as part of any application.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Departist is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Missed deadlines or failed submissions
• Inaccurate AI scoring or matching
• Data loss on your device
• Issues with third-party platforms like CaFE
• Entry fees paid for calls you were not eligible for

9. CHANGES TO TERMS

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
